About the Spartans Hockey Club

BUILDING A SPARTANS CULTURE:

"The legend of a Spartan endures and inspires for a simple reason: Spartans were the masters of their craft, unparalleled in training, dedication, and teamwork."

In the Spring of 2012, AHAI put the combination teams through a re-alignment in an effort to put schools back together that had previously been separated. As a result of this, Lemont/Romeoville/Bolingbrook (previously combined with a Downers Grove school) and Lockport (previously combined with a Lincoln Way school) were matched up and a new combination was formed. The Spartans currently play in the IHSHL West Division...

Most importantly we are building a Spartans culture - that Sport and recreation are about helping build stronger, healthier, happier, and safer communities. Spartans Hockey advocates and supports projects to strengthen communities through sport and recreation. As you know, Communities that participate in sport and recreation develop strong social bonds, are safer places and the people who live in them are generally healthier and happier than places where physical activity isn’t a priority. Sports have this amazing, unique way of making a positive impact in society. Whether it's helping children, communities or even nations, sports make a difference on a daily basis. Sure, nothing is all sunshine and lollipops, but there is good being done with sports as the platform!
